Last October, IllFonic was throwing Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. After Friday the 13th: The Game and Predator: Hunting Groundsthe studio does not change its tune, it is a multiplayer game at the gameplay asymmetric opposing a Ghost Has ghost hunterand this week it welcomes a first free additional content.
IllFonic has just launched a DLCs in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashedadding a new map and a new type of Ghost, but not only. Here’s what’s new:
- The Ease, new card
The Facility closed its doors permanently in the late 1980s and was recently taken over by a group of private investors, who plan to renovate and reopen it. Unfortunately for them, the map is plagued by ghostly activity and construction crews refuse to enter this haunted health facility. Design Director Jordan Mathewson explains what makes this card unique:
“This workplace is clearly worn over time, which gives players a unique feeling compared to our previous workplaces. The construction workers are civilians and have begun restoring this facility, leading to the discovery of why it was abandoned in the first place. Varied hallways combined with medium-sized rooms are stacked to provide a unique gaming experience that is more intimate and aesthetically spookier. There will be a few interesting ways to use these new areas in this map to the advantage of every player, Ghostbuster or Ghost. »
- New ghost type, Glutton which includes Muncher plus two additional variants
Instantly recognizable, Muncher is IllFonic’s most requested and fan-favorite ghost. If you are a ghost hunting lover, you will not be disappointed to get your hands on this type of mischievous ghost in the game.
- Fire station additions
Players will see new character customization options, gear like the Belt Gizmo and Disruptor Pylon, as well as gear accessory upgrades, and more.
The team has worked hard to improve the matchmaking of the game. All bots in the game have also been improved, those that haunt you and those that help you eliminate ghosts.
This is enough to revive interest in the game, and the developers recall thatthey will publish DLCs similar freebies each quarter in 2023 in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. You can find the game at €22.65 on Amazon.
