Last year, the creator ofIllFonicstudio to whom we owe Friday the 13th: The Game, Predator: Hunting Grounds and Arcadegeddonhad said around a classic interview that he was working on a video game ghostbusters. He didn’t lie: more than a decade after the effective Ghostbusters: The Video Gamea new adaptation has just been confirmed.
So her name is Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed and is expected for the fourth quarter of 2022 on PC via theEpic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It will again take the form ofan asymmetric multiplayer game 4v1. 4 Ghost Hunters don all the traditional gear in first-person view to find a Phantom controlled by an opponent. The latter can cross walls, possess objects, summon minions and use special abilities.
The games will follow from the barracks where we can improve and try our arsenal, talk with Winston Zeddemore (voiced by Ernie Hudson) to launch missions, and we can also chat with Ray Stantz (voiced by Dan Aykroyd) at Ray’s Occult Books to learn more about the mysteries of the game.

So many actions that you will have to carry out as hunters, within a team of four courageous souls in pursuit of terrible ghosts that terrorize public places. Work together to find the ghost, attack it using the particle launcher to immobilize it and close the trap at the right time! Keep calm among the citizens and subdue the ghost before the environment becomes too haunted.
Or, play as a ghost and terrorize unsuspecting citizens in various locations. You are not even afraid of hunters since you have the ability to fly or teleport between rifts. Own the objects lying around in each room to escape the hunter and frighten passers-by. If that doesn’t work, you can slim or summon ghoulish minions. Haunt each of the maps as one of many ghosts with different abilities.
Get ready for every match in the iconic fire station, customizing your hunter or ghost, upgrading your gear and abilities, and practicing how to use the particle launcher and its different modes. Chat with Winston Zeddemore, played by Ernie Hudson, and select missions before heading into the field. Meet new and old friends like Ray Stantz, played by Dan Aykroyd, ready to pass on his knowledge to you at Ray’s Occult Books store.
Who are you going to call to hunt ghosts? Thanks to the cross-platform multiplayer system, anyone on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S or One can come together to cross streams or spread slime. AI-powered companions can help fill out games, or allow a solo hunter or ghost to play offline.
