The Ghostbusters side, fun with good teamplay

For those who do not yet know what Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, let’s still allow ourselves a little reminder. The software is playable in multiplayer, where four players take on the role of the Ghostbusters, while another takes control of a ghost in order to cause trouble on the various mapsrepresenting the iconic locations of the eponymous films.

Now that the recall has been made, know that we only had time to play one round as a Ghostbuster. Before diving into our only multiplayer game with the developers, we were able to take a quick tour in the barracks of the ghost hunters. Once the game has started, you will find your iconic equipment as a ghost hunter. What about balancing?

If there is necessarily a hitch that made us wince during our game, it was balancing. Indeed, we were sometimes surprised to see that the ghost could quite easily immobilize us by sliming us, and put us on the ground. You usually had to press a button repeatedly to remove the thick layers of slime. But in general, if the ectoplasm comes back to bother us, there is a good chance that it will knock us out, as well as our teammates around it.

The same goes for trapping the spectrum. We could notice that it was devious enough to lock him in the ghost trap, the bugger being able to fight furiously and flee. Of course, this is once again only a simple impression after a single game, and we hope that the title will be much more refined on the balancing, especially in terms of the overpower of the ghost against the Ghostbusters. But apart from that, the title turned out to be pleasant and above all fun to play, and that’s the most important thing.

Finally, in terms of content, the title should be pretty honest. There will be four types of ghosts to unlock as you play but also a nice gaggle of maps, just to keep buyers in suspense. Let it be said, the software should therefore satisfy players with certainly a leveling system to unlock new equipment and ghosts.
