After birth, babies are sometimes a little bigger and sometimes a little smaller – but the son of a Canadian family surprised even the doctors in the maternity ward with his birth weight of six and a half kilos.
“He’s probably a bit stronger than his siblings,” said dad Chance Eyres laconically about the birth, which caused a small (or rather not so small) sensation in Cambridge, Canada: his son Sonny immediately weighed in at 6.6 kilos his birth on the scales. His mother Britteney also couldn’t believe how big her baby is. “I can’t believe I had all this in my stomach,” she told the Waterloo Region Record.

It’s no wonder that baby Sonny became a local celebrity when he was born – he immediately received so many visitors in the hospital that his parents half-jokingly thought about maybe slowly admitting him.
