This Thursday, August 20, Lego is launching its new range of bricks in classic colors but with letters, numbers or symbols on their base for visually impaired children.

Lego becomes more inclusive! The giant announced Thursday, August 20, to launch its range of braille bricks for visually impaired children, in collaboration with the Royal National Institute of Blind Pepole. “The bricks are molded in such a way that the small interlocking studs reflect the individual letters and numbers of the Braille alphabet while remaining fully compatible with the Lego system”, indicates the brand in a press release.

With its new range launched in seven countries including Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States, the group is keen to encourage visually impaired children to explore new avenues in learning to read and write braille. "The bricks are molded in such a way that the small nesting studs reflect the individual letters and numbers of the Braille alphabet while remaining fully compatible with the Lego system.", the company said in a statement.

These new bricks in the same color range as the classic bricks can also be used by the sight glasses. By 2021, the giant plans to expand this range to 20 countries. As a reminder, the previous year, the group had donated 25% of these profits to the Lego foundation for children in difficulty.
