GIG XL and XXL: Klipsch wants you to dance this summer

Mainly known for its hi-fi and home cinema speakers, Klipsch is trying a new market with the GIG XL and XXL, two portable speakers cut to become the centerpieces of your festive evenings.

Let’s start the presentations with the small model: the GIG XL. The enclosure comes in the form of a pad of 35.5 x 25.5 x 23 cm for 4 kg. Thanks to its integrated handle, it is easily transportable, and even resistant to shocks and splashes, as it is IPX4 certified.

The GIG XL features a 16.5 cm main speaker supported by a 5 cm tweeter and has a Bass Boost mode to further support the bass. The central speaker is surrounded by an RGB light show beating to the rhythm of the music.

On the connection side, there is a mini-jack input, a USB port and a 6.35 mm jack port used to connect a microphone (supplied). Bluetooth is also included, as is the possibility of pairing two speakers to obtain a stereo system. Finally, Klipsch promises an autonomy of 8 hours.

The GIG XXL is, as its name suggests, a hormone-boosted version of the GIG XL. The enclosure is therefore more massive (55.1 x 27.5 x 29 cm for 8.2 kg), more powerful and offers better depth in the bass. The number of speakers is doubled compared to the XL version (two woofers and two tweeters), while the set includes strobes in addition to RGB light effects, as well as an additional 6.35 mm jack input for plug in a guitar. The GIG XXL unfortunately loses the IPX4 certification of the GIG XL and promises the same autonomy as the small version.

The GIG XL and XXL are already available at the respective prices of 249 and 399 €.
