The offer in detail
The Gigaset 550A comes with a 2.2-inch TFT color display and backlit keys. You can save up to 200 telephone entries and make calls within the apartment with a range of 50 meters. Depending on the location, up to 300 meters is possible outside.
There is an answering machine in the base station that records incoming calls for you after a while and adds the date and time of the call. The recording time is 30 minutes. In addition to an analogue connection, there is also the option of establishing connections to a network or to a computer via an Ethernet connection.
If you choose the Duo package, you will receive a charging cradle with an additional phone. You can set up the charging station up to 50 meters away from the base station. In addition to a power supply, you don’t need any other cables. The standby and talk times of the cordless phones are given as 320 hours and 17 hours respectively.
The Gigaset AE690A Duo is a cheap alternative to the 550A Duo. Here, too, you get two telephones with a charging cradle, and an answering machine is also integrated into the base station.
