Gigi Hadid was arrested in the Caribbean for drug possession. Nevertheless, she seems to continue to enjoy her summer vacation carefree.
Despite being arrested with marijuana in her luggage, Gigi Hadid, 28, seems to be enjoying her vacation in the Caribbean. After details about her run-in with the law emerged, the model posted on Instagram new videos and photos from her summer vacation and titled the new post with the words “All’s well that ends well”.
In the slew of new bikini photos, Gigi Hadid and her friends look like they’re enjoying their time in the Caribbean with no worries. From court documents, available to “People” magazine, reveals that Gigi Hadid flew to the Cayman Islands on a private jet from the United States on July 10. After landing at Owen Roberts International Airport, “marijuana and paraphernalia for marijuana use” were discovered.
Gigi Hadid: Got away with a fine
However, it was only small amounts that were apparently intended for personal use, it is said. Similar items were found in Hadid’s girlfriend Leah Nicole McCarthy’s luggage. After the find, the two women were arrested but released on bail. At a court hearing two days later, they reportedly pleaded guilty and each paid a $1,000 fine.
Legal medical marijuana from New York
“Gigi was traveling with marijuana that she had legally acquired in New York City with a medical license”, a rep for the model told E! News. Medical marijuana has also been legal on the island of Grand Cayman since 2017. There was no entry in the model’s certificate of good conduct.
