Gil Alma’s Christmas interview: “For Christmas, I never ask for anything”

At a time when homes have just celebrated Christmas, we continue our holiday saga. As a reminder, for this end of the year, Gala.fr asked several stars to talk about Christmas. A souvenir, a gift… Let’s forget the time for an interview this year which was rich in emotions. The actor Gil Almawhich we find in Animal instinct this Tuesday, December 26 at 9 p.m. on France 3, agreed to take part in the Noël interview.

Gala.fr: Has Santa Claus ever disappointed you?
Gil Alma:
Yes, every year, because I’m a bit green and as soon as it’s a gift that doesn’t necessarily have to be used… (Laughs) For me the ideal gift must be useful: a bottle of olive oil, a bottle …

Gala.fr: This year, what does your Christmas list consist of?
Gil Alma:
I never ask for anything, I try to settle for quite little. But now, I’m moving into a new apartment, so I’m going to need useful things: a bed, a sofa and a table!

Gala.fr: For a Christmas meal, what is the essential food?
Gil Alma:
I was a fishmonger for eight years, so even if I no longer eat meat or foie gras, I still eat oysters and I have a weakness for crab, which I take the time to shell.

Gala.fr: The kitsch Christmas sweater, are you for or against it?
Gil Alma:
I have even better: pure wool Christmas underwear. It’s a little itchy but it works. (He’s laughing)

Gala.fr: What is your favorite Christmas song?
Gil Alma:
Big Kiss of Carlos. It’s not a Christmas song, it’s a love song, but ultimately, wouldn’t Christmas also be the celebration of love?

Gala.fr: What is the Christmas memory that is anchored in you?
Gil Alma:
When I was little, when I still believed in Santa Claus, my parents asked me to accompany my great-grandmother to put her coat upstairs in the house, and suddenly I heard loud noises. Coming back down, I discovered the gifts. It was the magic of Christmas.

Gala.fr: Does having children keep the Christmas spirit alive?
Gil Alma:
I have a 15-year-old and a 12-year-old, so the Christmas spirit is slowly fading. But when children still believe in Santa Claus, the Christmas spirit continues.

Gala.fr: Besides, what did your children ask for?
Gil Alma:
We’re on computers, gaming, consoles… We’re on games not really like Playmobil or Barbie.

Gala.fr: Is the Christmas tree installed on December 1st or… on the wire, just before Christmas?
Gil Alma:
More like early December for me.

Gala.fr: What is the best gift we could give you?
Gil Alma:
It would be something that is not material: that everyone is well and that we can help people who have recently left.

Gala.fr: After Christmas, it’s the transition to the new year. How do you view 2024?
Gil Alma:
Very very good, because professionally, I have a lot of things coming up, starting with the new season of Caesar Wagner in January. I also have the show Gilles and Ben reunited on tour throughout France, a new apartment… 2024 will be the year of renewal.
