Gil Ofarim: "Dirty Competition" on "Let's Dance"

Gil Ofarim does not have a good hair on "Let's Dance". The 2017 winner reports on the "ugliest competition" of his career.

Musician Gil Ofarim (38, "Everything on Hope") won the tenth season of the dance show "Let's Dance". Together with professional dance partner Ekaterina Leonova (33), he came in first in 2017. But he doesn't have too good memories of the RTL show. He now made this clear in the format "Stadt Land Bild".

While Alexander Klaws (37), also a former "Let's Dance" winner, raved about his time at the show, Ofarim could only report otherwise. As soon as the cameras were on, he said, everyone pretended to be best friends. If they were out, "it was the biggest, ugliest, dirtiest competition I have ever experienced". The musician remembers well the elbow mentality that was displayed on site. He said: "I loved the show – for dancing. For all the media, press-related trappings – not really."
