(CercleFinance.com) – Gimv announced on Tuesday that the investment company WorxInvest had finalized its acquisition of a 28.7% stake in its capital from Vlaamse Participatiemaatschappij (VPM), a holding company controlled by the Flemish Region.
The operation, which was initially announced on November 30, has now received all the necessary authorizations, specifies Gimv in a press release.
With the arrival of this new major shareholder, Filip Dierckx, the boss of WorxInvest, will join the board of directors of Gimv and take over as chairman.
The businessman underlines that the investment in Gimv constitutes a ‘major step’ in WorxInvest’s strategy, while saying he is determined to support the profitable growth recorded by Gimv in the long term.
