Gina-Maria Schumacher rushes from triumph to triumph as a western rider. Now she made it from the podium at a prestigious US tournament.

It is one of the most prestigious tournaments in so-called western riding: Last weekend, the “The Run for a Million” competition took place in the US gambling metropolis of Las Vegas. At the “richest event in the history of western riding” according to the website, Michael Schumacher’s (54) daughter Gina-Maria Schumacher (26) an impressive shared third place, and came up with an incredible prize money of 75,000 US dollars (equivalent to around 69,000 euros).

Gina-Maria Schumacher is a prize money millionaire in western riding

Michael Schumacher’s daughter, who incidentally was also the best rider in the mixed field, has long been one of the prize-money millionaires in western riding. Gina-Maria emulates her famous mother Corinna Schumacher (54). In 2010 she was European champion in western riding. In 2005, Michael Schumacher gave his beloved wife a riding stable in Switzerland for their wedding anniversary. Seven years later, the family bought another ranch in the USA, which also breeds horses.

Gina-Maria Schumacher was able to live out her passion for equestrian sports and especially western riding to the full here and there. In the special equestrian discipline, which is carried out in cowboy hats and western gear, the horses have to perform a number of demanding figures such as the so-called sliding stop, in which the mount slips from a gallop and comes to a standstill.

Mick Schumacher: “She has much more success than me”

Formula 1 test driver Mick Schumacher (24), who recently introduced his new girlfriend, the Danish model Laila Hasanovic (22), to the public, admires the riding skills and tournament triumphs of his big sister.

Gina-Maria has “much, much more success” than him, explained the 24-year-old in an interview last year. At that time, Gina-Maria Schumacher took first and second place at the European Western Riding Championships – on two different horses. Mick Schumacher also found that his sister was “a few championships ahead of him”. Clearly, the 26-year-old inherited her famous father’s winning and competitive genes.
