This Saturday, January 22, M6 is broadcasting a new episode of the second season of the series devoted to firefighters, 9-1-1: Lone Star. The chance to reunite with EMS Captain Tommy Vega, played by Gina Torres. The actress is a series regular because we have also been able to see her take major roles in famous programs such asA.k.a or Suits. But Gina Torres does not hesitate to appear on the big screen when the opportunity arises. She notably played in the last two parts of the mythical science fiction trilogy, Matrix. A film in which she met the one who would become her husband for several years, Laurence Fishburne.
It’s on the set of Matrix Reloaded, in 2001, that the eyes of the two actors crossed. A real love at first sight that they quickly wanted to materialize because the two lovebirds had married in 2002. The couple then welcomed a baby girl in 2007, named Delilah.

But after 15 years of marriage, their relationship had finally come to an end. Indeed, in September 2017, the two stars had announced their separation. “It was with a heavy heart that Laurence and I decided to end our marriage last fall”, confessed Gina Torres, stating that she still remained on good terms with her ex-husband. A few months before, Gina Torres had also been photographed in the streets of Los Angeles kissing a man other than Laurence Fishburne. She could also be seen having lunch with her new darling without her wedding ring. The actress had set her sights on a certain Kevin Wright, an entrepreneur who had also just left his wife. In November of that same year, Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres had formalized their breakup by signing the divorce papers.
