Giovanni Zarrella will perform a new show on ZDF on September 11th.

Singer and presenter Giovanni Zarrella reveals the important role his mother plays in his life and career.
Giovanni Zarrella (43) has revealed that his mom Clementina has had a huge impact on his life. “Oh, you can’t imagine how mercilessly honest my mom can be”, explains the singer and presenter in conversation with the “Bild am Sonntag”. If you look at him, you can see “directly into me and my soul”. He explains: “These are magical mother skills that she has. And that is why she is the only one who can and is allowed to strip me down to my underpants with her criticism.” You can tell him anything.
Fortunately for Zarrella, mom obviously thought a lot of his current spouse Jana Ina (44), with whom he has been married since 2005. “Giovanni, that’s a great woman! Take her and do everything to ensure that she stays with you,” she told him. The singer became known in the early 2000s with the band Bro’Sis. At that time he came home after a night in a club with a large bill. His mother “expected him with a credit card statement and gave me such a lecture that I have never before honestly seen”.
His mother “always knows what I deserve”
Since then, the singer has paid much more attention to his money. She also knows his contracts: “Mom always knows what I deserve and also tells me if she thinks I deserve more.” In addition, she was always honest with him, “when something is not good for me, or that I cannot do something. That is also mother’s love.”
In just under a week, Zarrella will go on air with a new format. On September 11th, the start of the new series “The Giovanni Zarrella Show” can be seen live on ZDF from 8:15 pm. The singer and presenter will present the whole thing live from Berlin. Guests are expected to include Andrea Berg (55), Maite Kelly (41), Nino de Angelo (57), Pietro Lombardi (29), Alvaro Soler (30), Sasha (49), Kerstin Ott (39) and Santiano. And according to “Bild am Sonntag”, mom should also be there as a guest of honor.
