Girl murder in Vienna – Leonie (13) abused by at least two perpetrators

According to the current investigation, the police assume that the killed 13-year-old, whose body was found by passers-by on a green area in Vienna-Donaustadt last Saturday, was likely to have been abused several times. As the APA found out on Friday, at least two suspects are said to have perpetrated the girl in the apartment of an 18-year-old arrested on Monday.

There are now three alleged perpetrators or accomplices – all of them native Afghans aged 16, 18 and 23 – in custody. A compatriot of the three and possibly fourth people involved in the crime – he is 22 years old – is being searched beyond the national borders.

It should now have been clarified how the 13-year-old from the Tulln district got into the 18-year-old’s apartment. According to information from the APA, she knew the 16-year-old, met him on Friday in Vienna and is said to have accompanied him to the 18-year-old’s apartment later.

Suspect (23) as a drug supplier
The 23-year-old is said to have come into the apartment as well, although it is currently assumed that this man brought the drugs that the 13-year-old was administered or that the 13-year-old was likely to have consumed.

Whether the regional court for criminal matters will impose pre-trial detention on the 16 or 18-year-old suspects arrested on Monday is likely to be decided on Friday. The 23-year-old arrested on Wednesday was meanwhile questioned by the police as a suspect. The State Police Directorate is initially silent on the question of whether and in which direction he has expressed himself on the suspicion directed against him.
