The stages follow one another and are similar in Italy. Pelayo Sanchez obtained his first victory in a grand tour this Thursday by winning on the white steps of Tuscany. The Spaniard from the Movistar team was able to make the difference in the sprint ahead of the Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal-Quick Step). After a breakaway of more than 150km, Australian champion Lucas Plapp completes the podium. Runner Jayco Alula was even the virtual pink jersey for a few kilometers. The peloton shortened the gap at the end of the race and it is Tadej Pogacar who remains leader in the general classification. Tomorrow, a time trial awaits the riders.
