This Thursday, a rally was organized in front of the Bordeaux premises of the Gironde Family Planning, covered three times in less than a month with tags, which the organization attributes to the far right. One hour before the rally, a meeting was organized with the Minister Delegate for Equality between Women and Men, Diversity and Equal Opportunities, Isabelle Lonvis-Rome. As is Republican custom, all local parliamentarians were invited. But Family Planning refused some of them.
“When, after having made my arrangements to go to this visit, I was heading for the station, the office of the Prefect told me that the direction of Family Planning of the Gironde did not want me to participate in the delegation.“, castigates the deputy Rassemblement national de Gironde, Edwige Diaz, in a press release. For the parliamentarian, her presence on the spot “would have made it possible to materialize [son] indignation about the damage that the premises of the Gironde Family Planning have suffered“.

The elected Girondine recalls being “very respectful of our institutions” And “firmly opposed to all forms of violence“. She believes that her visit to Bordeaux would have made it possible to explain the position of the RN vis-à-vis Family Planning. “If the National Rally condemns ultrapoliticization, flagrant sectarianism and wokist drifts of this association, he is not opposed, in the local authorities in which he sits throughout France, to the subsidies allocated to him, since these are intended to provide assistance to people in a situation of distress“.
The elected will hold the minister to account
Edwige Diaz insists that RN deputies “are not second-class parliamentarians“and considers it inconceivable that the participation of certain elected officials in ministerial delegations”be conditioned by the goodwill of an active and manifestly all-powerful minority“. Gironde Family Planning reacted quickly, also issuing a press release. The association explains that it does not want “receive in its premises the deputies of a far-right party advocating hatred and the regression of human rights“, judging that the RN “spends his time endangering [leurs] actions, to question [leurs] subsidies, and to promote a reactionary ideology which exploits the cause of women for racist ends“. Unequivocally, Gironde Family Planning specifies that it will not accept “never to receive an RN MPon its premises.
