Gironde: two gendarmes and fishermen save a woman from suicide by drowning

Aged 30, the young woman tried to end her life on Tuesday by jumping from the bridge that connects Fronsac to Libourne.

She had thrown herself into the water with her backpack and the intention of committing suicide. This Tuesday at 4:20 p.m., passers-by immediately reacted when they saw this 30-year-old young woman jump from the bridge that connects Fronsac to Libourne.

Quickly alerted, two gendarmes from the PSIG of Libourne rushed to his aid, while a passing fishing boat facilitated their return to the banks of the Isle.

Transported to the University Hospital of Libourne by the firefighters, the young woman was in shock and in slight hypothermia when they arrived. His days are not in danger.
