Activists protested in front of the Red Bull headquarters in Fuschl (Salzburg) on Thursday with a large banner reading “Red Bull gives Putin wings”.
The group, which calls itself the Ukraine Solidarity Project, wants to draw attention to the beverage giant’s business activities in Russia. The poster shows the shirtless Russian President on the jumping Red Bull bull. A thorn in the side of the activists: while other international corporations such as McDonald’s and Coca-Cola have closed their business in Russia, Red Bull continues to sell its drinks “in Putins Dictatorship”. As part of their protest, the activists also addressed an open letter to Mark Mateschitz, the son of the late Dietrich Mateschitz.
