Glass ceramic hob not getting clean properly? With a trick it shines like new

Glass ceramic hobs are now the standard in German kitchens and a reliable kitchen aid. Pots on glass ceramic hobs do not get hot as quickly as on induction hobs, for example. Once the plates have been heated, the cooking process works smoothly.

With glass ceramic fields, the hotplates are heated from below by heating coils. This method is particularly impractical when something overflows. Milk, sauces, etc. then burn particularly quickly and often lead to unsightly stains that are difficult to remove.

If you want to remove burnt spots on the glass ceramic hob, you usually use a sponge and washing-up liquid. However, the stains cannot always be reliably removed.

Instead, you can simply use a conventional dishwasher tab. Dissolve the tab in warm water until you get a thick paste and apply it either to the entire glass-ceramic hob or to certain burned areas. Leave the paste on for about 15 minutes and rub over the stains with a damp sponge. Then all you have to do is wipe the stove with a damp cloth.

notice: If the stains are already deeply burned into the glass of the glass ceramic hob, you cannot completely remove them even with the above method. Therefore, always remove dirt from the hob as quickly as possible after cooking or baking.
