Glass debris, detergent… Batches of wine recalled throughout France

People who have consumed these alcohols have symptoms of irritation and tingling of the mouth, or burns.

Check your cupboards carefully if you are a wine lover. Since Wednesday March 15, several batches of white wine have been the subject of a massive recall throughout France due to health risks. Starting with the “Terra Nostra Blanc 2021 AOP Corse”, marketed according to Rappel.Conso since November 9, 2022 in U stores. It would contain detergent residues and other chemical contaminants. “People who have consumed the wine mentioned above and who present symptoms (irritation and tingling of the mouth, stomach pains, etc.) are invited to consult their doctor, notifying him of this consumption”, indicates the government platform. Which extends the recall procedure until March 23.

Two other references have also been removed from the shelves for risks of broken glass: the “Touraine Sauvignon” bottles from the Les Lunetus and Château de Vallagon brands. Taking these alcohols can cause burns, it is therefore advisable not to consume these products. Regarding the latter, the recall procedure will continue until April 7 at certain wine merchants or grocery stores. Rappel.Conso also recommends destroying these wines or bringing them back to the store for a refund.
