Above Savièse in the canton of Valais, there was an accident with a glider on Saturday afternoon. The cantonal police were informed at 3:25 p.m. about the crash above Visse in the Sanetsch region. The plane is said to have crashed into a rock face.
The pilot can only be recovered dead by the emergency services. It is a 57-year-old Vaudois. The cause of the crash is currently being investigated by the Swiss Safety Investigation Board (SUST) and the Valais cantonal police.
