Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it’s exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today we are going to focus on exploring biomes and a very particular glitch which allows you to access forbidden places for the moment!
Trunks, corals, mushrooms… Can’t get to the other side?
Each area you unlock in the game will often be split into two distinct sides. If it is possible to fully visit the Enchanted Beach simply by going through the large stairs (left part) and the pond path (right part), this is not the case for other areas which are, they, blocked by mushrooms or tree trunks. Do not panic, it is possible to cross the Bayou de la Confiance bridge or the Forest of Courage bridge to explore the rest of the area, but this will take time. A lot of time, at least if you follow the normal technique.
In order to access all areas, you will need to improve your tools and more specifically your Pickaxe and your Watering Can. The Pickaxe upgrades quite easily by completing the quests of maui (here’s how to do it) but for the Arrosoir, it’s a whole other story! It is near Merlin that you will have to complete all the quests until you find the one asking you to collect Mushrooms.
The problem? Mushrooms only grow in Bayou de la Confiance and most of the time they are on the other side of the river which is just blocked by large mushrooms! It’s a shame when you know that the objective of the mission is to improve the Watering Can to free the passage…
The glitch that will save you a lot of time!
This is probably a bug that the developers will fix very quickly so this guide may be outdated fairly quickly. In the meantime, know that it is possible to cross the areas blocked by mushrooms or trunks with a very simple way:
- Go to the area of your choice (Bayou de la Confiance for example),
- Open your Furniture menu (inventory),
- Move your camera around until you find the Area Teleport Shaft,
- Select it and… move it to the other side of the river (yes yes it works),
- Validate,
- Exit the area to return to the Tranquil Prairie,
- Use the Meadow well and teleport to the Bayou de la Confiance: You are now on the other side!
