With many orders in different online shops, tracking the shipment quickly becomes a pure click orgy. A new Gmail feature is set to change that.

  • Gmail may aggregate information about parcel shipments in the future.
  • The feature must first be activated independently. The information is then directly in the inbox.
  • The innovation is initially only available in the USA.

Just in time for the approaching Black Friday and the following Christmas season, Google announces a new feature for the email service Gmail. This makes online orders that are processed via a Google e-mail address a lot clearer – but only in the USA for the time being.

Google states that in the future you will see the most important information for tracking your orders directly in the inbox. If you open the e-mail, a summary of the information is also available in an area above the opened e-mail. If an online shop has given you a tracking number, Gmail can show you even more detailed information.

According to the Google blog, the new feature will be rolled out for US customers in the next few weeks and must be actively activated. It is still unclear when the new function will also be offered in Germany.
