The new Gmail gradually imposed by default
Yesterday, Google announced that the new Gmail experience is entering the final stage of its widespread rollout. The opportunity to learn that it would become the default interface for a number of users. If the latter will always have the possibility of returning to the old version from the settings, this initiative materializes Google’s desire to introduce as many customers as possible to the new interface of its messaging system.
Despite its desire to unify its services around the same ecosystem, the Mountain View firm will not impose it on you. Indeed, Chat, Spaces and Meet will remain optional in this new version of Gmail. You will then be able to customize your experience according to your needs, and therefore choose not to include these services in the sidebar of your inbox if you wish. This frees the interface of icons that you might not need.
Anyway, if the new Gmail interface has not yet appeared to you as the default display, know that you will soon be able to switch from the toothed wheel, located at the top right of the messaging system. .
