At the beginning of the year, Vivien Blotzki signed a contract with a modeling agency. Now the “GNTM” winner really wants to get started.

On June 15, 2023, Vivien Blotzki (23) became the first curvy model to win the 18th season of “Germany’s Next Top Model”. But her big modeling career didn’t begin after the ProSieben show. But the 23-year-old wants to change that this year.

While the next season of Heidi Klum’s (50) casting show is currently underway, last year’s winner is happy about a contract with a modeling agency. They signed this at the beginning of the year, she revealed an interview with RTL. She also emphasized: “This year the focus is actually more on that because that was my goal from the beginning. I want to model!”

After the final she completed her training

Because that’s exactly what isn’t so obvious after the finale: “Many people think that you come out of the show and that the big fashion houses suddenly come after you. That’s definitely not the case!” She won 100,000 euros, graced the cover of the German “Harper’s Bazaar” and became the campaign face of a cosmetics brand. But after the show, Blotzki first completed her training as a retail clerk. “Security is also very important to me. I didn’t know at all whether a career would be waiting for me afterwards: Can I earn money with this?” she revealed to RTL.

Still, there are exciting months behind her: “It was a lot of everything. There were just a lot of new experiences and at the same time I had to find my way in an industry that I didn’t know at all before.” The “GNTM” winner gained more than 60,000 followers on Instagram. She is “grateful” for that. But now, in addition to social media, modeling should come more into focus. She made a sensational appearance in February at the Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder (37)’s show as part of Berlin Fashion Week, which she is very proud of. There she walked down the catwalk in a skin-tight fat suit, with which the designer wanted to set an example for body positivity.

She prefers to leave out the word “curvy”.

Blotzi is the first plus-size candidate to win “GNTM”. But she likes to avoid the addition of “curvy”: “I just say, I’m a model. And then I find it very interesting that some people then look like this: ‘Okay, awesome! You’re a model?'”
