Goal in minute 93 – Landskroner victory party thanks to sniper Gatti

A crazy finish in the crown game of the round! In front of 1000 spectators, Landskron cheered in the derby against VSV in the 93rd minute – because Philipp Gatti sank the ball from 25 meters to make it 1-0 in the Kreuzeck! The promotion race in the Unterliga West remains an open three-way battle – Villach’s gunners (81 hits!) must now hope for support.

What a crazy title fight! After three rounds, Landskron had taken the lead in the lower league west, lost at the end of April – only to regain the place in the sun in the derby against rival VSV. Because offensive ace Philipp Gatti took heart in minute 93 (!) in front of 1000 fans after a blocked ball, sinking the ball from 25 m to make it 1-0 in the Kreuzeck! “It was awesome, we all exploded! Simply a perfect ending,” beamed home coach Bernhard Seebacher. Because you have only conceded 18 goals and kept ten clean sheets. Seebacher: “We are extremely disciplined! The goal was to concede a maximum of 20 goals – we can only get two more goals for that, that’s possible!” But it will be a mammoth task to keep this one point lead over VSV. With Radenthein (5th), the third Lind – only two points behind – and Sachsenburg (7th), three chunks are waiting. A bitter setback for Villach! The league’s gunners (81 goals) tried to be more defensive this time, wanting to keep the two-point lead. “A game of equals! Gatti’s shot was fantastic, we were powerless,” says coach Neven Ilic, who won’t give up in the fight for the title: “We have to win three times and hope for help.”LANDSKRON – VSV 1:0 (0:0) Goal: Gatti (93′).
