God of War Ragnarok: The game’s director would like to work on the Castlevania series

God of War Ragnarok hadn’t even come out yet that we already knew that Santa Monica Studio was working on other projects. This has since been reconfirmed, without it being known if a new god of war was on the program. We suspect that yes, knowing thatEric Williams, director of the last opus, had not hidden his desire to continue to explore the license again, even if he was to do only that for the rest of his career. But when asked if he has other desires, he does not hesitate to talk about his love for the saga Castlevania.

Where do we sign?

Interviewed in the last issue of the Kinda Funny Games Spoilercast (relayed by VGC), Eric Williams declared that he would like to work on the license one day. If the whole thing was said under cover of humor, the director seems well inclined to look into this cult series:

You can make it happen [en parlant des hosts de l’émission]because you have a global audience here… I don’t know what I’m going to do next, but if someone gives me this Castlevania license, we’d love to work on it. »

Admit that a Castlevania developed by Santa Monica Studio, it’s a project that inspires. After all, after a Castlevania: Lords of Shadow which was somewhat inspired by the first trilogy god of war, that would make sense, right? Obviously, nothing is done and nothing says that the director will work on it soon, even if we know that the series should soon make its return (at least when Konami is ready to do something other than NFT). But who knows, one day…
