At least the laudators should, if the organizers of the Golden Globes 2021 have their say, give their speeches on site.

The ongoing corona pandemic is forcing the organizers of this year's Golden Globe ceremony on February 28 to make some changes. It was recently announced that the two presenters Tina Fey (50, "30 Rock") and Amy Poehler (49) will be leading the evening thousands of kilometers apart. Fey on the east coast at Rockefeller Center in New York City, Poehler on the west coast and the traditional location of the Golden Globes, the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. According to "Variety", one thing should not change: The laudators were urged by the producers to give their speeches at the locations in New York and L.A.

This was done with the assurance that strict security controls would ensure the health of the famous speakers. One measure therefore provides that all nominees for the award will join in virtually. So there will never be direct contact between the winner and the laudator.

Originally, the Golden Globes should have taken place at the beginning of January as usual. Due to the pandemic, they were put on February 28, initially scheduled for the Oscars. The 93rd edition of the Academy Awards will now take place on April 25th and in turn in several locations, as has since been announced.
