Golden Globes 2024: Meryl Streep breaks a new record

The Golden Globes series nominations have fallen for the 81st edition. And Meryl Streep breaks a new record!

It’s time to take stock of this year 2023, rich in new series and new seasons with the start of the ceremony season. Before the Emmy Awards, it is the Golden Globes which will celebrate series (and cinema) by awarding prestigious prizes.

After the triumph of Abbott Elementary and The White Lotus last year, which series will win awards at the 81st Golden Globes? The competition will rage again this year with high quality dramatic, comic or limited fiction.

And it is the series Succession (its fourth and final season to be precise) which stands out from the crowd with 9 nominations. The end of the adventures of the Roy family, as powerful as they are dysfunctional, convinced voters to recognize the HBO series for its final episodes.

The Bear and Only Murders in the Building follow, which each have 5 nominations. Other notable series of the year 2023 received several nominations such as The Last of Us or The Crown.

For her part, Meryl Streep broke her own nomination record by being nominated this year for her role in Only Murders in the Building. The Hollywood star has 33 Golden Globe nominations!

See you on January 7 for the results!
