This night was held the 2024 edition of the Golden Globes Awards. Here are the films, series and people of 2023 celebrated by the ceremony. The results, although fairly predictable, hide some surprises.

It was through 26 categories that the Golden Globes ceremony rewarded a few hours ago the best of culture on the small and big screen in 2023. Expected hits were there, but a few shows, films or even people who were not necessarily expected were able to do well.

Some surprises amid probably close results

Because if Oppenheimer dominated the debates for dramatic films (best film, male actors, director and original soundtrack in particular), barbie has been shunned on the comedy side. He only leaves with the best song and the best box office success, while Poor Things and its lead actress Emma Stone were preferred. But the real surprise on the big screen is called Anatomy of a fall : the French film leaves with the statuettes for best screenplay and non-English language film! We can finally note that the mixed The Boy and the Heron was preferred to Suzume Or Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse for animation.

On the series side, Netflix created a surprise with Relentless (Beef, in English), which wins again as best limited series and best main actors and actresses! The critical successes that are Succession And The Bear were also rightly rewarded. The Disney+ and Max series win almost all the statuettes, both in their category (drama and “comedy”) and for their respective casting.
