Goldene Henne 2020: These stars have a chance of winning the audience award

The "Golden Hen" will also be awarded in the Corona year 2020 – albeit under different conditions. These stars go into the race.

It has been clear since the end of June that the "Golden Hen" will also be awarded in 2020 despite the corona pandemic. As part of a live show with presenter Kai Pflaume (53, "Who knows something?"), The audience award will be awarded on October 30th in Leipzig – under slightly different conditions and without a large audience. From Thursday (August 27th) you can now vote in four categories. These are the nominees.

Opportunities for TV shows, actors, musicians and "climbers"

In the "TV / Entertainment" category, a total of five entertainment formats compete against each other: "Joko & Klaas versus ProSieben", "The Helene Fischer Show", "Do you understand fun?", "Let's Dance" and "The Masked Singer". Anna Maria Mühe (35), Katharina Thalbach (66), Thomas Thieme (71), Charly Hübner (47) and the cast of the TV series "Das Boot" enter the race for their acting performances.

For the musicians, veteran Howard Carpendale (74), the duo Thomas Anders (57) & Florian Silbereisen (39), Lea (28), Lotte (25) and Ben Zucker (37) compete with each other. It could also be interesting in the "Newcomer of the Year" category. Here the audience can choose between Jan Bülow (24), the musical performer from "Lindenberg! Mach dein Ding", the three-time gold medal winner at the Track Cycling World Championship, Emma Hinze (22), and Ramon Roselly (26). The pop singer won the 17th season of the casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" in April – with an incredible 80.8 percent of the vote.

"Sports" category paused

In all four categories, viewers can vote for a favorite between August 27th (midnight) and September 9th (midnight). The "Sport" category is paused this year because many major competitions and events have been canceled or postponed due to the corona.

The awarding of the "Golden Hen" will be broadcast live on October 30th from 8:15 pm on MDR television and via live stream on the web.
