The Honor MagicBook Pro (2020) AMD laptop goes under € 700 at E. Leclerc – High-Tech. This is currently one of our best value for money on a budget.
The Honor MagicBook Pro 16.1 is a 16-inch laptop, a large screen that the manufacturer directs more particularly to graphic designers and photographers with a Ryzen 4000 processor.

The Honor MagicBook Pro has some serious advantages. Its screen is undoubtedly its greatest quality. Combined with a capable Ryzen processor, it could have become a staple for graphic designers and photographers. But between the absence of an SD reader, the lack of expandability of the memory and rather disappointing finishes, it is far from perfect. An interesting novelty which therefore does not tick all the boxes.
Strong points
- Screen of excellent quality.
- Good performance.
Weak points
- Questionable chassis finishes.
- Lack of connectivity for a 16 inch.
- Disappointing audio part.
- Memory soldered, very little scalability for a 16 inches.

By taking over the MagicBook Pro on its own, Huawei has corrected its main flaw (the keyboard) and kept its main strength (its screen). However, we would have liked a slightly newer processor, such as an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Zen 3 architecture. To make a perfect copy, Huawei would have been well advised to offer more powerful speakers and a larger capacity battery – l autonomy is, on the other hand, correct. We will finally settle for a free M.2 slot instead.
