Like its predecessor, the Google Pixel 7 is an excellent smartphone. It benefits from a beautiful screen, a powerful SoC and a very good photo sensor duo. In addition, its price positioning makes it more affordable than the vast majority of its high-end competitors, without making any real concessions. We can certainly criticize it for its in-game heating, its always slow recharging or its too much similarity with the Pixel 6, but these faults have little weight compared to the general experience, which is even more intuitive under Android 13.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude the prices of stores whose the VAT policy is not clear (so-called “gray” stores, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

The Samsung Galaxy S23 is a quality smartphone that is very pleasant to use on a daily basis. It once again benefits from a splendid screen and displays increased autonomy. The transition to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 allows it to offer excellent performance, finally worthy of its range. If it benefits from very solid foundations in photography, the difference in quality with last year is not obvious. There is even a fairly marked tendency towards overexposure, which could however be corrected later. Apart from this downside, Samsung is giving us a very good 2023 vintage.
