Almost identical to the Specialista Maestro, the Delonghi Prodigio does not come with a milk carafe and therefore does not provide any milk drinks with direct access. However, it has the merit of having a steam nozzle which will froth the milk.
The Delonghi Specialista Prodigio is a more light of the Maestro since it skips the milk carafe and, de facto, on the preparation of milk drinks. So, everything is not perfect: we noticed some play on the dials on the front or on the Smart Tamping arm and the filter does not always fit in its filter holder. Nevertheless, it retains the intrinsic qualities of the Specialista series, whether in the maintenance or the pleasure we feel in playing the effortless barista.

The Delonghi Specialista Arte is a very good entry point into the manufacturer’s range of semi-automatic coffee makers. Compact, simple and well finished, it has everything necessary to make the user an apprentice barista according to the rules of the art. With this machine, it’s fun to get started, even if the tamping work requires a bit of help. Ultimately, it is because it is full of tips and accessories that maintenance can be complex. Still, this very good coffee maker is intended for a niche of amateurs and will not suit those who want their coffee to flow at the simple press of a button.
