Light version of the V15 Detect Absolute, the V15 Detect loses some accessories like the Fluffy brush equipped with the laser. However, the technical characteristics of the two devices are the same, as is their suction performance.

The V15 Detect has the same advantages as the V15 Detect Absolute. Can’t fault it for suction, filtration or maintenance; the Holy Trinity of the stick vacuum cleaner. On the other hand, the defects are also the same and the V15 Detect is therefore rather heavy and not very durable in boost mode. In a nutshell, if we can regret the absence of the brush equipped with the laser, in absolute terms, the single classic brush supplied with this version is more than enough, even on hard ground and the V15 Detect remains an excellent vacuum cleaner -broom.

Whether in its Absolute or Absolute Extra version), the Dyson V15 Detect arrives without bad surprises. Can’t fault it for suction, filtration or maintenance; the Holy Trinity of the stick vacuum cleaner. However, there is a little taste of “could do better”. Admittedly, it is not always easy to innovate effectively, but the laser is akin to a gadget function and the old “High Torque” smart brush ultimately had more or less the same mission as the particle counter, namely adapt the suction power automatically. We would have preferred that Dyson attack the weight of the device, or its autonomy a bit limited in Boost mode for our taste.
