Good deal – The Electrolux Pure D8.2 Silence “4-star” vacuum cleaner with bag at €111.99 (-48%)

Electrolux has unveiled a new range of bagged canister vacuum cleaners called Pure D8, including the Pure D8.2 Silence tested here. This series is intended to be environmentally friendly, the devices being made of 55% recycled materials.

It’s almost faultless for the Pure D8 Silence canister vacuum cleaner, the first of the D8 series to enter our comparison. Good suction performance, maneuverability and low noise level, the Electrolux D8 Silence has it all. We also appreciate its electronic dimmer at the handle which avoids having to bend down to modify the suction power.

Strong points

  • Quality finishes.
  • Excellent suction on thick carpet.
  • Useful and functional “Smart” mode.
  • Very quiet vacuum cleaner.
  • Perfect filtration.

Weak points

  • No LED ramp on the main brush.
  • Capacity of the bag a little limited.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

If the data sheet of the Philips 3000 Series XD3112/09 is not the most extravagant, the manufacturer’s promises are almost all kept. Not only is the suction performance quite good on different surfaces, but this vacuum cleaner is also very practical and comfortable to use. Handy and efficient, the Philips 3000 Series XD3112/09 therefore offers good value for money. However, we regret that it does not have a special parquet brush, which would have been a plus for vacuuming all hard floors.
