The LG 55B1, the 55-inch (140 cm) version of the LG 65B1 that we tested, is LG’s most affordable Oled TV with 100/120 Hz panel in 2021. Placed between the A1 model and its 60 Hz panel and the C1 more powerful and bright, the LG B1 presents itself as a good compromise.

We think in particular of the peak of brightness a little more limited than on the other OLED models and a perfectible colorimetry in HDR. Competition is raging in the Oled segment and it is becoming more and more complicated to get out of the game. However, with its more aggressive price, this model can be interesting if we compare it to a brighter higher-end product.

With its 48OLED806 – a 48-inch (122 cm) version with different legs from the Philips 55OLED856 that we tested – Philips delivers an almost perfect television that only misses the fifth star because of its slightly recessed audio system. The image quality is excellent, whether in SDR or HDR. This year, Philips has worked particularly hard on reducing display lag and integrating HDMI 2.1, which make this television a versatile model that is suitable for both film and TV series enthusiasts and video game enthusiasts. . For originality, the Ambilight system remains just as impressive and above all exclusive to Philips models.
