Good deal – The LG 55G3 “5 star” television at €1,589.00

The G3 is LG’s only Oled TV to use the new Oled panel equipped with billions of microlenses to dramatically increase peak brightness. This panel also improves viewing angles and reflection processing. Is this enough to make it the best Oled TV on the market?

The LG 55G3 — the 55-inch (140 cm) version of the LG 65G3 that we tested — is quite simply the best TV tested to date in our laboratory. It combines all the advantages of Oled technology (contrast, precision, responsiveness, viewing angles) with the high brightness of a Mini-Led model. Even the anti-reflective filter is even more efficient. If we look closely, we find minor flaws, such as a lower colorimetric coverage compared to QD-Oled televisions, a stand sold as an option or even a fairly standard remote control. The fact remains that this television is currently the best for all uses (films, series, video games, TV and sport).

• The extent of colorimetric coverage is not increasing.

Alternatively

For several years, LG has been hitting hard with its C range and this LG 55C3 – 55-inch (140 cm) version of the LG 65C3 that we tested – is still an excellent reference. Certainly, the changes are meager compared to the C2, but we appreciate the increase in the maximum brightness of the panel. The versatility of the TV is always there to enjoy movies at home and games with almost no compromise, the best technologies being reserved for the LG G3, the manufacturer’s most high-end model.
