Good deal – The Netatmo connected object Connected thermostatic heads for radiators “5-star” starter kit at €124.90 (-20%)

In addition to its famous thermostat, Netamo also offers connected thermostatic heads for radiators in order to “control the temperature of your apartment”. The promise is enticing, but are they easy to install and are the results there?

Easy to install and configure via the app, the Netatmo connected thermostatic heads won us over. They are particularly useful for managing the temperature of your home room by room on the time slots of your choice and without going around all your radiators. Do not expect substantial energy savings from these valves if you are already very committed to the reasonable management of your radiators. It is above all the practical aspect that prevails here.

Strong points

  • Easy to install thermostatic heads.
  • Only one tool required: a precision screwdriver (and again, just for some valves).
  • Complete and easy-to-program management application.
  • Finely adjustable temperature in half-degree increments.

Weak points

  • The bill climbs rapidly with the number of radiators.
  • Fairly bulky thermostatic heads.
  • No remote temperature measurement.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

The small Heatzy Pilote box allows you to effectively control your electric heating from your smartphone; all at a lower cost and without requiring too serious technical knowledge. The ease of use is immediate. However, it will be necessary to deal with the limits of pilot wire technology which does not allow the temperature to be adjusted remotely. Despite everything, this solution seduces us with the added satisfaction of using a product designed in France.
