Good deal – The Ninja Foodi OL550EU SmartLid “4 stars” multicooker at €152.31 (-45%)

Of Ninja’s latest multicookers, the Foodi OL550EU SmartLid is the most affordable, but also the least complete. However, few competitors can do the same. With 11 cooking programs, it is therefore an interesting option.

Slightly less complete than its big brother, the OL750EU, the Ninja Foodi OL550EU SmartLid impresses with its many programs and the ease with which it allows you to switch from one to another. He also shows great mastery in cooking, but sometimes takes his time, in Air Fry mode in particular. The absence of integrated recipes and mobile application makes it a multicooker to be reserved for adventurous and inspired cooks.

Strong points

  • Cooking with hot air and under pressure in the same appliance.
  • No need to change lids.
  • Large capacity and a grill for cooking on two levels.
  • Stable and homogeneous heating.

Weak points

  • Frying less fast and convenient than with a deep fryer.
  • Quite thin recipe booklet and still no app to find others.
  • Control panel in English.
  • Noisy in Air Fry and Grill modes.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

The Ninja Foodi MINI is a particularly complete multicooker, and one of the few to offer pressure cooking and forced air. It has also shown itself to be efficient on all of its 6 cooking modes, and allows cooking for a small family, contrary to what its name might suggest. Ninja’s multicooker is also easy to clean and to program but, in the absence of integrated recipes, remains to be placed in the hands of a minimum informed public.
