The Philips Essential Airfryer Compact HD9252/90 multicooker goes under €80 at Amazon, a drop of around 22% on the price usually seen. This is currently our best value for money for small budgets.
Of the four models that make up the new range of Essential oil-free fryers from Philips, the Essential Airfryer Compact HD9252 therefore relies on its small format, but also on a contained price to seduce.
Philips Essential Airfryer Compact HD9252/90
- Convenience of use

- Cooking
- Noise
Without much pretension, the Essential Airfryer Compact HD9252 nevertheless has the merit of doing what is asked of it. Its cooking performance is satisfactory on the whole and the dispensation of preheating saves considerable time compared to an oven. It’s a pity that its control panel has not been better thought out, and that its basket is still not a little larger given the size of the device.
Strong points
- No need for preheating.
- Relatively compact size.
- Little noisy.
- Interesting NutriU app.
Weak points
- Really small basket.
- Compulsory mixing of preparations during cooking.
- Inconvenient and unresponsive control panel.
- Dirty coating.

The Moulinex MK705111 multicooker fulfills its mission of cooking efficiently and quickly. However, this basic pressure cooker is perhaps a little too… basic. The lack of manual mode, pressure cooking, and handles on the bowl complicate the experience. Despite a more advantageous price positioning than that of the Cookeo, the MK705111 is not up to par with its more sophisticated elders.
