The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G smartphone goes below €150 on Amazon Marketplace, a drop of around 16% on the price usually seen. It is currently one of our best value for money for small budgets.
After testing the 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy A22, it’s the turn of its 5G version to pass through our labs. The opportunity to see that this model is quite different from its cousin. Explanations…
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G may be ready for the future in terms of connectivity, but it lost some strengths of the 4G model to get there. The Korean has partly removed what made the 4G version interesting to offer an affordable 5G device, and it shows. Sold at a higher price than its cousin, it faces very well-established competition, which surpasses it in almost all aspects. Those who want more power to play will turn to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, for example, while the Oppo A54 5G benefits from a very well calibrated panel. Fortunately, the A22 5G can still boast of offering enormous autonomy. It is therefore aimed at those who are above all looking for a very durable 5G compatible device.
Strong points
- Very good autonomy.
- Efficient multitasking SoC.
- 48 Mpx mode rather convincing during the day.
Weak points
- Poorly calibrated screen.
- Inefficient ultra-wide-angle module.
- Failed night photos.
- We would have liked more power.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G
With its Redmi Note 10 5G, Xiaomi offers – at the time of the release of the mobile, at least – the most affordable 5G on the market. Better still, the manufacturer markets a good balanced smartphone, driven by monster autonomy and solid performance, despite a few concessions here and there. The Redmi Note 10 5G is also positioned as the best version of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note range. It thus allows itself to do better than the Redmi Note 9T 5G and appears as one of the best affordable 5G smartphones.
