After the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, it’s the turn of the Samsung Galaxy S21, a 6.2-inch model, to venture under our measuring devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 is an excellent smartphone, which simply suffers from its too limited autonomy. For the rest, the qualities of the mobile are undeniable: its panel is excellent, even exceptional, the performance is top-notch, the daytime photos are good, and it features almost all of the brand’s know-how. The fact remains that this phone, as always, has great rivals against it, such as the Xiaomi Mi 10, better equipped in terms of autonomy, or the Google Pixel 5, terribly efficient in photography, although less versatile.
Strong points
- A superb screen, perfectly calibrated.
- Very pleasant design and finishes.
- Very good performance of the Exynos 2100.
- Waterproof to 1.5m depth for 30 minutes.
Weak points
- Autonomy too fair.
- The absence of a charging block.
- Night photos still limited.

The Samsung Galaxy S21+ unfortunately does not address the main flaw of the S21: autonomy. Despite a larger capacity accumulator, the terminal is unable to make a breakthrough in this area. It is still an excellent smartphone, whose qualities are undeniable. We particularly appreciate its exceptional screen which flirts with perfection, its first-rate performance, and its very good daytime photos. But since we have to compare it to the competition, it is clear that some do better in terms of night photography, and once again in terms of autonomy, like the Google Pixel 5 or the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. If the idea of recharging your mobile every day bothers you, move on. Otherwise, go for it.
