Good deal – The Samsung HW-Q990B “5 star” soundbar at €930.00

The HW-Q990B is the spearhead of Samsung’s 2022 lineup of soundbars. It has almost the same spec sheet as the HW-Q990C we tested, so it’s one of the most capable soundbars we’ve tested to date.

The HW-Q990B takes almost all of the technical data from the HW-Q990C. It is therefore undoubtedly a must in the market for high-end Dolby Atmos/DTS:X soundbars. Samsung gives birth here to a real monster of power and explosiveness, which immerses you in the heart of action scenes thanks to controlled sound reproduction and stunningly realistic surround effects. The immersion provided is thus remarkable and allows you to touch the “home cinema” experience at your fingertips.

The HW-Q800B does honor to previous high-end sound bars from Samsung thanks to its overflowing energy and sound reproduction that suits films and series as well as musical content. The bar, however, shows an immersive virtual spatialization that lacks a slight touch of precision on the placement of elevation effects. That being said, the HW-Q800B remains an excellent soundbar, capable of bringing you great cinematic, playful and musical experiences at home.
