Good deal – The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless Black “5-star” portable headset at €249.99 (-13%)

Sennheiser follows Sony and Bowers & Wilkins in releasing its best Bluetooth headphones with active noise reduction this year, the Momentum 4 Wireless. With its new products, this newcomer narrowly propels itself into the elite of the market.

In terms of the market, this fourth version of Sennheiser’s Momentum offers a very good overall experience, enough to win the ultimate star by a very small margin. If the headset has many very good points (autonomy, quality of the hands-free kit, versatility of use and functionalities, etc.), it should not, however, be seen as a perfect headset. Some of its rivals indeed offer a more advanced sound experience and active noise reduction (among others, the WH-1000XM4, the Headphones 700, the PX7 S2, etc.) without sacrificing the rest. If these points are two absolute priorities for you, then you should think carefully before setting your sights on this Momentum 4 Wireless.

  • Natural, balanced and very well defined restitution.
  • Perfectly homogeneous, ample and silky treble.
  • Beautiful reproduction of the soundstage.
  • Relatively effective active noise reduction.
  • Particularly comfortable.
  • High-performance hands-free kit.
  • Extremely generous autonomy.
  • Very comprehensive controls and features.

  • Inconvenient assignment of certain commands to the mechanical button.
  • Effectiveness of noise reduction at lower frequencies.
  • Poor sound performance in passive wired use (headphones off).
  • Non-foldable design.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude the prices of stores whose the VAT policy is not clear (so-called “gray” stores, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

Spearhead of JBL’s range of nomadic headphones, the Tour One M2 had to be exemplary. A successful bet since the headset manages to rise to the level of the best on the market. Top-notch noise reduction, extreme sensations of comfort, incredible autonomy, controlled sound reproduction… nothing is missing. Good job!
