Good deal – The Smeg SMF02 Black “4-star” pastry robot at €269.00 (-17%)

The SMF02 is a retro pastry robot, but only in appearance. Its technical sheet places it at the top of the market, in particular thanks to its direct transmission motor capable of delivering 800 W.

The Smeg SMF02 is a nice surprise. Equipped with a direct transmission motor, an efficiency of 800 W and 10 powers, this pastry robot is particularly efficient. To take nothing away from it, its 1950s aesthetic, signature of the Italian manufacturer, makes it a real decorative object. Although it runs silently, the Smeg does however require a few additional seconds to complete the required tasks, compared to other models in our comparison.

Strong points

  • Good stability.

  • Impossible to adjust the height between the utensils and the bottom of the bowl.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude the prices of stores whose the VAT policy is not clear (so-called “gray” stores, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

The Wizzo applies the Moulinex principles to the letter: affordable price, ease of use and scalability thanks to various accessories available as options. The pastry robot is formidable when equipped with its whisk and makes good use of its flat beater. Its engine is, however, its great weakness and makes it an unreliable and low-endurance device. With this model, the French manufacturer is struggling to reinvent itself and is doing less well than with its Masterchef Gourmet, released a few years earlier.
