Not only does this fixed focal length offer very good finishes, but it can also boast of offering the best optical performance in our comparison, including exceptional sharpness. A must-have versatile for photographers who can afford a premium product. For others, there is a wide alternative choice including the Samyang AF 35 mm F1.4 FE and Sony 35 mm F1.8.

The Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG DN MACRO Art is a good alternative to the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS. As for the L mount with hybrid cameras from Panasonic, Leica, or with the brand’s bodies, it complements the 70mm f/2.8 DG Macro Art by extending the focal length a little while adding a good number of options ( diaphragm control ring, weather resistance, etc.). And the optical quality is excellent from full aperture, while optical defects are well managed. If the autofocus is not perfect, it is still difficult to fault this 105mm F2.8 DG DN MACRO Art. It will undoubtedly appeal to macro photography enthusiasts.
