After the SRS-XB23 and SRS-XB33, Sony’s latest portable speaker, the SRS-XB43, is the centerpiece of the Japanese giant’s range.
Great robustness, ease of use, rich, detailed and powerful sound… the SRS-XB43 combines all the ingredients of an excellent portable speaker. It is also one of the best in its category, alongside its little sister, the SRS-XB33, a model a little easier to transport and a little less powerful, but just as efficient.
Strong points
- Very balanced, versatile sound reproduction.
- Excellent respect for dynamics, whatever the listening level.
- Very nice stereo.
- Very sturdy construction, water resistant.
- Comprehensive controls, multipoint connection.
Weak points
- Some overflows in the extreme bass with the Extra Bass mode, treble which could have been more precise.
Alternatively
Under the exuberance of its multicolored lights, the Sony SRS-XB33 hides a real artistic talent. It impresses with its sound reproduction of remarkable transparency and versatility, embellished with a stereophony that is simply unheard of from a portable speaker. And all this without forgetting to ensure a very robust construction. A great success!
