It’s over for the actors of “Good Doctor”. This Friday was the last day of filming for the medical series. For the occasion, the actors posted moving messages and behind-the-scenes photos on their social networks.
The time to say goodbye has come for the doctors of Good Doctor. After 7 seasons on the air, the San Jose St. Bonaventure hospital is indeed preparing to close its doors, in a final “that fans will love” according to revelations from executive producer Liz Friedman.
This Friday, April 5, also marked the last day of filming for the medical series. Freddie Highmore, Paige Spara and the others met on set to share one last moment together.
A palpable emotion
The actors of Good Doctor took advantage of this special day to pay tribute on their respective Instagram accounts to the medical series. Christina Chang, the interpreter of Dr. Audrey Lim, declared that she was “flooded with so many memories”, and took the opportunity to share photos taken behind the scenes of this last day of filming.
For his part, Will Yun Lee, who plays Dr. Alex Park, said he was “grateful for how far we have come, the friends who have become family, and the many memories”.
Finally Fiona Gubelmann (Dr. Morgan Reznick) posted photos looking back on her journey in the series since her arrival during the first season. All the actors expressed their gratitude for being able to participate in the Good Doctor experience.
The end of an era
It was last January that the American channel ABC announced the cancellation of Good Doctor, after 7 seasons. Made up of only 10 episodes, this latest season, which was launched on February 20 across the Atlantic, should provide a proper conclusion to the adventures of Dr. Shaun Murphy.
The latter must also face new challenges in this final burst of episodes, since he is now the happy father of little Steve. This is not the only challenge that the hero will have to face since in episode 5 of season 7, one of the protagonists of the medical series experienced a tragic end which should have a major impact on Shaun and the other characters.
In France, Good Doctor is broadcast on TF1. Season 7 should arrive before the next school year on the channel. The finale should be offered in May on ABC.
